Young Scot

The Accord Card is your gateway to Fashion, Food and so much more!

Are you 11-26 years old?

If so Young Scot is your information portal for everything from art through to money, relationships, travel and volunteering. What's more important, Young Scot is bursting with details on what is going on in Aberdeen!

  • Love films? Enjoy the latest movie at VUE Cinema at discounted rates.

  • Feeling peckish? Grab a tasty deal at Giraffe Restaurant at Union Square (and many other food outlets in Aberdeen).
  • Like style? Many leading retailers offer discounts on the latest fashion when you present your Accord Card at the till.
  • Manage your money! We have introduced sQuid, an electronic purse, on your Accord Card. sQuid is not a debit or credit card so you cannot get into debt, it's free to get and free to use and you don't need a bank account. sQuid is ideal for your pocket money and allows you to pay for low value items such as sandwiches and drinks. You can also use sQuid to pay for your swimming lesson, to hire DVDs and games at the library or pay for the Ice Disco at Linx Ice Arena and so much more.

Now that you know what your Accord Card can do for you, you want to look after it. Keep it in a safe place and away from magnets and computers. Do not bend the card or tamper with the information or picture printed on the card.

    Aged 16 - 18?

Be smart and get 1/3 off bus travel with your Accord / Young Scot Card!

First Bus Aberdeen, in partnership with Transport Scotland, has upgraded its ticket machines meaning young people aged 16-18 that live in Aberdeen City no longer need to use the 'Bus Concession Card' but can just swipe their Accord / Young Scot Card at the ticket machine to get 1/3 off any single adult fare.

Please note that not all bus services in Scotland recognise the Young Scot Card yet and if you travel with a bus operator that doesn't recognise the card yet you will need to have a 'Bus Concession Card' to get your 1/3 off on board. For First Bus Aberdeen however you no longer will need a 'Bus Concession Card'.
